Founded by Francisco Fonseca, a said-to-be tobacco expert, in 1891, he was the first to introduce metal tubes for safekeeping cigars which evolved in the aluminum tubes that are widely used today. Fonseca also conceptualised the first cigar tasting room within his factory where clients would visit and sample selected brands under Fonseca’s care. Hugely underrated, Fonseca cigars are known for its mild and subtle flavour with smooth, sweet-and-salty undertones. It is also the only Habanos in the market covered in thin, translucent silky wrapper.
