In 2015, Habanos SA launched a new line of aged cigars called Anejados. The tobacco leaves are aged between five and eight years.
Anejados translates to aged, so if you speak Spanish, the meaning of this version is pretty obvious.
Final smoking time averaged just under 1 hour and 45 minutes.
While Cuban aged cigars aren’t a thing, consumers have been doing so for a long time. Looking at the whole thing, it’s a recent trend for Havana Cigar Company because cigars are aged. And those lines focus primarily on the raw tobacco component that is being aged.
Front: The first third starts with a lot of pepper, mixed with cedar and grass. The burn is very even. Then a little spice and creamy, fruity flavors appear, which complement the pepper, cedar and grass.
Middle section: The spicy taste has become dominant, with the taste of pepper, cedar, licorice and creamy fruit. The burning process in the middle section is slightly intense, and the thick cigar ash is tightly attached to a place with many knuckles.
Finish: I didn’t notice any new changes in flavors, which is fine with me because I’ve been enjoying the entire cigar. Cedar, vanilla, fruit, and pepper hit me pleasantly from all sides. Towards the end, I continued this experience as long as I could.
